Raspberry Ketone

Raspberry ketone supplements are made up of concentrated amounts of the chemical in raspberries that give them their incredible smell, and they’ve been approved by the FDA as being generally safe since 1965. (1)

Even though they’ve been known and available since then, raspberry ketone is enjoying renewed popularity due to research that has revealed that this natural supplement offers some fat burning advantages (1)

A big part of their recent popularity is due to Dr Oz featuring them on his TV show, claiming that they are a “miracle fat-burner in a bottle.” (1)

He has also been quoted as saying that by using raspberry ketone “your body metabolically will go in the direction you want it to go in.”

He went on to say that it can be an effective aid in helping people “get over the hump” when it comes to their weight loss. (1)

More specifically, raspberry ketone is supposed to help increase the amount of adiponectin in the body, which is a protein that helps keep your metabolism in check and break down the amount of fat currently stored in your body. (2)

According to Oprah’s favorite Dr (Dr Oz) these supplements are supposed to bring about dramatic changes in your body’s appearance. (2)

Even though WebMD.com says that raspberry ketones are generally considered safe (3), be sure to only buy your supplements from a reputable source online.

This is the only company I trust when it comes to buying any sort of supplement online.

Especially with all of the fake supplements and auto-billing schemes some companies have resorted to.

Some of people report that raspberry ketones can cause fat cells to shrink (4), while others have claimed to lose as much as 9lbs in 14 days (5) with a proper diet and moderate exercise in addition to the raspberry ketones.

To me, raspberry ketones seem a little far-fetched as I haven’t heard about any real studies done on humans.

The only studies I’ve heard about involved mice.

So for me I’m not going to bother trying them.

But again, if you want to give them a go make sure you get them from a reputable source at least.
