Here’s a great dinner idea that if you are tired of salad can help you stay on track with your diet while at the same time, filling your craving for meat.
So here is what you will need for these fantastic Steak and Pepper Tacos:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 3 ounces steak strips
- 1 1/2 cups sliced green and red bell peppers
- 1/2 cup sliced onion
- 2 small (6-inch) whole-grain tortillas
- 4 tablespoons salsa
- 2 tablespoons low-fat sour cream
In order to make it, you will need to saute olive oil, cumin, and garlic in a frying pan or skillet for 1 minute.
Once you have done this, you can add steak strips and cook everthing for about 5 minutes.
After this, addd the pepper and onion slices and cook for another 8 minutes.
Add the mixture to tortillas, fold them up and you’re finished.
You can even top them off with salsa and a little bit of light sour cream.
The best part of this recipe (other than it tasting so good), is that it is under 500 calories!!
